Types Of Chicken Water Equipment
January 18,2021
The drinking water equipment is indispensable in the chicken farm, and it is required that the equipment can guarantee clean drinking water at all times, and work reliably, without clogging, water leakage, disease transmission, and easy drug delivery. Commonly used chicken water equipment includes vacuum drinking fountains, hanging tower drinking fountains, nipple drinking fountains, cup drinking fountains, etc.
(1) Tower-shaped vacuum drinker
It is mostly composed of a pointed round barrel and a base with a slightly larger diameter than the round barrel. The top and side walls of the drum do not leak air, and the base is 2.5 cm high from the chassis with 1 to 2 small round holes (0.5 to 1.0 cm in diameter). When using, first make the top of the bucket face down, fill the water to the round hole, and then buckle the chassis and turn it over. In this way, at first, air can enter the barrel through the contact gap and round hole of the barrel, and the water in the barrel can flow to the bottom plate; when the water level in the plate is higher than the round hole, the air cannot enter, a vacuum is formed in the top of the barrel, and the water stops flowing out. Therefore, the water level of the chassis is always slightly higher than the upper edge of the round hole until the water in the bucket is used up. The drinking fountain is simple in structure, convenient to use, and easy to clean and disinfect. It can be made of galvanized iron sheet, plastic and other materials, and can also be made of jars, etc. It is convenient to obtain materials and easy to promote.
(2) V-shaped or U-shaped drinking trough
The V-shaped drinking trough is mostly made of galvanized iron sheet. In the past, most caged chickens used V-shaped drinking troughs, but because they were made of metal, the troughs were generally used for about 3 years because they corroded and leaked, forcing them to be replaced. The U-shaped sink made of plastic solves the corrosion and leakage of the V-shaped sink. The U-shaped sink is easy to use, easy to clean, and has a long life.
(3) Hanging tower drinking fountain
It is hung in the chicken coop, does not interfere with the activities of the chickens, and is mostly used for flat chickens. Its composition is divided into two parts, a drinking water tray and a control mechanism. The drinking tray is a tower-shaped plastic tray with a hollow center and an annular groove on the edge for the chickens to drink. The upper end of the valve body that controls the water outlet is connected with the main water pipe by a hose, and the other end is hung from the ceiling by a rope. The drinking water tray is hung on the control rod of the valve body to control the opening and closing of the water outlet valve. When there is no water in the drinking tray, the weight is reduced. The spring overcomes the weight of the drinking tray to move the control rod upwards to open the water outlet valve, and the water flows into the annular groove from the lower end of the valve body along the surface of the drinking tray. When the water surface reaches a certain height, the weight of the drinking water tray increases, the spring tension is increased, and the control rod moves downwards, closing the water outlet valve, and the water stops flowing out.
(4) Chicken Nipple drinker
It is composed of a valve core and a contact rod and is directly connected with the water pipe. Due to the action of the capillary, a drop of water is often hung on the contact rod. When the chicken needs to drink, just peck the contact rod and the water will flow out. After the chicken has finished drinking, the touch rod seals the waterway and the water stops flowing out. This type of waterer is installed above the chicken's head, allowing the chicken to raise its head to drink. The height of the installation should vary with the size of the chicken, which can be installed in the cage or outside the cage.
(5) Cup Drinking Fountain
Shaped like a water cup, connected to a water pipe. There is a touch plate in the cup, and there is always some water on the touch plate. When the chicken pecks the touch plate, the valve is opened by the linkage lever, and the water flows into the cup. After the chicken drinks the water, the touch plate is restored to its original position with the help of the buoyancy of the water, and the water no longer flows out.
There are various types of chicken water equipment, you can select it according to your needs. It is wise to ask Qingdao haimu husbandry machinery Co.,ltd who is a professional poultry farm equipemnt parts manufacturer for advice before buying.
