Drinking Management Can Protect Poultry Intestinal Health
March 09,2021
People who raise poultry know that water has a great impact on poultry. Due to poor management of the drinking water system, some intestinal diseases in chickens are usually caused by this. In order to ensure the health of poultry intestines, we must pay attention to drinking water management.
Regular Flush Line
Now, popular choice of drinking water system is a nipple closed drinking water system, which can ensure that drinking water is not polluted by the environment. However, it is difficult to monitor the water quality because managers cannot directly see the cleanliness of drinking water. When bacteria in drinking water adhere to the pipe wall of the drinking water system for a long time, a biofilm is formed. No matter how to disinfect drinking water, it is difficult to remove all these bacteria. Once the bacteria attach to the wall, they will secrete sticky substances to form a biofilm, and then other pathogens will be attracted to colonize, and the biofilm will become a true bacterial culture medium. After the biofilm ruptures, it enters the poultry body through drinking water, and the bacteria invade the intestines and multiply, causing enteritis. At the same time, it causes clogging of water silk nipple and water leakage, resulting in the outbreak of diseases such as wet mats and coccidia.
The daily water line backwash system can slow down the adsorption wall of bacteria. High-pressure water must be used to flush the water line regularly every week, which can not only flush out the sediment in the pipeline, but also inhibit the production of biofilm. At the same time, it is necessary to frequently check the water quality and water speed to ensure the normal use of all nipples. When flushing the water line, some good cleaning agents can be used to scrub the inside of the pipe cleanly and completely remove the biofilm.
Adjustment Of Water Pressure
The water pressure of the nipple drinker is evenly distributed, so do not waste water when outputting. If the water pressure is too low, the poultry's drinking water will be reduced by 20%, and if the water pressure is too high, the poultry's drinking water will not increase, but the nipples will discharge more water, resulting in a wet pad. It easily produces ammonia, burns the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract of poultry, and reduces the immune response. Secondly, the humidity that is conducive to the spread of pathogenic microorganisms, the spread of organisms, especially the outbreak of coccidiosis, can stimulate the proliferation of clostridium intestine and cause necrotizing enteritis. Therefore, the water pressure should be adjusted regularly to ensure that the litter is always in a fluffy state (the litter is collected by hand and will break and spread after landing), and the poultry house should be inspected regularly. Once a leak is found, the nipple should be repaired or replaced immediately.
If you get a plastic poultry water pressure regulator, with the characteristics of large flow of automatic water supply, automatic washing, fast supply water and automatic control, it will be much easier.
Adjust The Height Of The Waterline In Time
As the poultry grows, the height of the waterline must be adjusted at any time. On the first and second days of birth, the height of the nipple is level with the eyes. During the brooding period, the angle between the neck and the waterline is 45°, and after breeding, it is 75°, so that the water flowing from the nipple can basically be It flows into the mouth of poultry without leaking on the litter. If the water line is too low, the bird will shrink its head to drink, causing a large amount of water to leak into the mat, causing bacteria and coccidiosis. On the contrary, the waterline is too high, and many poultry cannot drink water, resulting in dehydration, reduced feed intake, and weight substandard. Therefore, poultry crops should be eaten on time every day. When the feed in the crop sticks together for a long time, it means that the drinking water is insufficient, and the cause should be found as soon as possible.
Improve Drinking Water Quality
At an appropriate temperature, the number of bacteria in the drinking water doubles every 20 minutes, and it is found that the bacteria multiply very quickly. Generally, acidification is used to lower the pH of the water, which can prevent digestive disorders and promote the absorption of enzymatic hydrolysis. In addition, electrolytes can be added to drinking water to help poultry maintain mineral balance, enhance biological resistance and anti-stress energy. Practice has proved that, without the use of antibiotics, strengthening the management of drinking water systems and maintaining comfortable and hygienic environmental conditions can promote poultry intestinal health and achieve better economic benefits.
The disease is imported from the mouth, and the quality of drinking water for poultry is strictly controlled. In addition, it is unavoidable for poultry to get sick sometimes, so we must prepare some medicines to prevent their illness from getting worse.
